Emergents regularly offer Go & See Travel Bursaries to Highlands & Islands makers who would like to attend events to aid research and the development of their practices.

Please see current opportunities below. We are also interested to hear from Highlands and Islands Makers who are interested in attending events/trade fairs etc which they feel would further their professional/business development and would like to apply for Go and See funding. Go and See Funding - London Craft Week
3 - 7 May 2016

Last year the first London Craft Week launched with 70 events, 20,000 visits and a wide cast including HRH The Prince of Wales, Grayson Perry and 350 makers.

From 3 - 7 May the second edition will showcase exceptional craftsmanship from around the world through a journey-of-discovery programme of over 130 events across the city, featuring hidden workshops and unknown makers alongside celebrated masters, famous studios, galleries, shops and luxury brands.

Emergents is offering up to 5 Go and See travel and accommodation awards of £150 to Highlands & Islands and Moray Makers to attend this fantastic and inspirational event. We will also be organising a networking dinner on the 5th May and some other events, more details will be sent to the successful applicants.

The deadline for applications is the 1st April 2016 at 5pm


Please note that successful applicants of Go and See funding are required to invoice for their Go and See bursary after their attendance and will also be required to submit a short report of their time at the event which will be posted on the Emergents website.

Please note that Emergents will fund a maximum of three Go and See Travel Bursaries to a designer/maker based in the Highlands and Islands per year.
