B2B support through Be There Grants
The Be There Grants scheme aims to support writers and publishers – from new start to established business – to increase their international marketing activities and to find new markets for their work.
Be There Grants are for writers and publishers living and working in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland to assist with the costs of attendance and participation at international trade fairs, festivals and similar marketing and promotional events.
The maximum grant available is £1500, and level of grant awarded will vary depending on the nature of the event, the costs of participation and the projected benefit of attendance at the event. There are no deadlines for submissions, application is open year-round but funds are limited, and will be assessed on a first-come, first-served basis.
From time to time, Emergents/XpoNorth makes offers for grants and bursaries for attendance at specific trade events. Watch this space for details.
We will also consider applications from publishers based in the Highlands and Islands seeking to bring authors that they publish based outside of the UK to the UK to support key marketing activities for major publishing projects. Please contact us directly for further information.
Application for our most basic level of grants and bursaries (up to £500) is by completion of a form:
