UKFT secures increased export funding for international trade shows

The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has announced that it has successfully secured significantly increased export funding from the Department for International Trade (DIT) for the Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP). The news comes after a considerable amount of lobbying. Grants will be available to help designers and manufacturers with the costs of exhibiting at a select number of the very best international fashion and textile trade shows.

The increased TAP support allows UKFT to add several cities to its early 2018 programme, including Chicago and Copenhagen. Some of the additional shows include Pitti Bimbo (childrenswear & lifestyle exhibition in Florence), CIFF, CIFF Kids, CIFF Raven and Revolver (men’s, women’s, childrenswear & contemporary designer brands) and Chicago Collective (men’s contemporary & classic apparel & accessories).

Export is a fundamental part of UKFT’s activities. We have helped thousands of manufacturers, designers and brands to launch their international sales at the best overseas trade shows. Practical help and advice from UKFT has enabled companies that are new to exporting to make the most of their exhibition presence, turning many into household names.
