You’re invited to join us in Inverness this autumn for the 2nd edition of the Scottish Highland’s largest knitting festival. Last year Loch Ness Knit Fest (www.lochnessknitfest.com) attracted over 1200 attendees from over 20+ different countries and the 2017 event is set to be ever bigger and better. There’s a real crafting community out there and there’s no doubt they’re truly inspired by the wonderful landscape, array of workshops and presentations plus the giant marketplace packed full of yarn-based wonder.
The team working on the festival are really passionate about showing attendees the variety of wool product we produce here in Scotland. Be it yarn, buttons, books, clothes or needles, the marketplace is sure to have plenty of temptations for the shoppers that flock on mass to seize their supplies. That said, there’s a particular interest to involve more vendors from the islands so that the festival showcases the Highlands and Islands as a whole. The organisers have designed a vendor space where the cost of a shell-scheme structure (booths) will be shared among a group of suppliers to encompass the smaller vendors that attend from the islands and may be restricted by budget.
